Hi. Recently, I just feel that I've got such a superficial life. Whenever I blog, it's about school, and nothing much else. Go on, laugh. I don't have much of a social life. I jus feel that my life is so routine, boring almost. Just fell so bogged down by stuff recently. Gotta finish university-standard RE report by Friday. We're using data analysis programmes like MINITAB. I'm doing the results, and I just feel I'm holding the grp back. I've gotta do the results and because I haven't finished it, LZY can't finish the discussion and Tiong cannot finish his abstract. I've got other things preventing me from finishing it, like other school-based commitments. Oh damn.

Kaushik nominated me for prefect, but I wanna pull out. There's another problem to be solved. Dammit, gotta tell Mr Lim by Friday. I just feel so screwed lah. But I'm sorry I'm doing this. Many other people have bigger problems, more things to worry about. Mine are just nothing compared to the problems others are facing. And they're handling it so much better. I oughta be ashamed of my self. I'm just nothing, an insignificant blot on the landscape of life. Keepin' it real...

Today was an exciting one to say the least. We went to support the judokas in their Nationals. The bus ride there was fun, with (reg7), BAW and AJ being the brunt of the jokes. Anyway, when we got there, the HCI peeps were also flooding in. Anyway, the judokas gave it their all, but unfortunately lost to HCI in both the C and B Div. But well done to the judokas for giving it their all. I was cheering like mad, as I always do. However, what gets me really frustrated is when I see people not cheering even though their friends are competing and trying to bring bakc titles for the school. I just don't see how they don't feel any belonging to RI and a sense of 'let's defend what's ours' in these situations. Anyway, no one will ever be able to get through to them and persuade them to do otherwise. The RJC A girls took home the gold, with the 3rd competitor winning in 5 secs. Push, tackle, squash. Anyway, another thing that I could not understand was that the RGS judokas were competing, yet, there were so few RGS girls. And none of them was cheering! The RI and RJC supporters were doing all the cheering for them! Argh, whatever. What's done is done. Well done judokas! Keepin' it real...

My gosh, I can't believe I'm actually blogging again! Recently: Italy wins the WC on penalties as Zidane is sent off for headbutting Marco Materrazi in his last match ever. I'm overall IC of the oral comm production, which is lame. There's a Geog in-class assg next week as well as a Phys quiz. And an MoV something. I'm performing at Open House tomorrow, which is cool. I gotta smoothen out the taps on my RI Fanfare. Now everyone in school who wants to play football can only play at the astro. That's why smart people like me play footcap (class sport). Ok wait, random thoughts. Anyway, *continuation of those thoughts* I'm now discussing the epitaph with Vince and Joshi will only be back at 10.45 as opposed to our original 10pm plan. Hi again. This weekend has been topsy-turvy to say the least. Yesterday was ORA, and the photo booth was ok lah. It was like a reciprocal. Someone comes to the stall and says "Can you buy this please?" Then we say, "We'll only buy it if you take a photo for $2." We earned $140+, which wasn't bad. We wanted to target those who wanted to take a photo with PM Lee Hsien Loong but we never saw him. I only saw the opening ceremony taking place. I saw a few old friends, like Nadia, Emily, Jan, Cheriel. Saw some of the J1s like Nazirul, Shaun, Teddy, Zhihan, Wee Pin, Yizhang, and Shawn Lim surrounded by girls. Ahem. Anyway, I left at 1.45 even though my shift was supposed to end at like 11.30. I'm such a good boy... Anyway, Ms Chia was pro. She called all her students parents as persuaded them to take photos. She even sponsored some of them. So that was ORA. The homework bit is crazy. Lemme break it down:

Now that I've calmed down a little. Lemme share something interesting. Before the hols, teachers feel good flying in their B-29 Bombers dropping homework bombs all over us. So we are destroyed even before the holidays start. So anyway, we resurrect and begin our holidays, filled with F-15 simulator courses (CCA camps and training) and other events. So then, at the end of the hols, we rush our aircraft theory practice (homework) and get ready for the first day of flight (school). We fall-in in front of the squadron leader (teacher) and wait for her to give a briefing. Then we start our engines and take off. We then start firing completed homework missiles back at her. She in turn gets detroyed but ressurects herself to mark the theory. Ok, that made a whole load of nonsensical NONsense.

Lemme try again. At the start of the hols, the teachers felt good because they each have prepared homework for us. Merciless as they are, they expect us to finish it in 11 days, of which half or more will be spent at camps or the like. 6 days or less, sufficient don't you think? Wrong. Anyway, when we go back after the holidays, we submit our work. The teachers will probably get angry cause 1 or 2 peeps won't hand-in. OK. They'll be even more pissed after they mark our work. So all I can say is, what goes around comes around. If they hadn't pissed us off by giving us work, we wouldn't piss them off with the work in return. It all makes sense. But there's still holiday work. Maybe the teacher's tunnel comes to a dead end. That's why they don't see the light. Anyway, there's nothing we can do. Except maybe drive a train down their tunnel to show them the light. Now there's an idea...

What's getting me down is the Europe trip. The school is organising a trip to Europe to visit places in conjuction with our Lit books. Places such as Amsterdam, Berlin, Rome and Auschwitz in Poland! Hi guys. It's the scorned CT period now and I really hate it. The only thing that's positive is that after this, it's slack, slack more slacking to catch up on. I'm re-mugging Geog now. Kiasu you might say. I say it's for GPA 4.0. I hope I can get it. Done pretty well in the CA2. I had better not waste it by screwing up in the CT. Anyway, It always seems like I have so much to blog on, but I never get down to doing it in the end. Wasted. Anyway, United beat Sunderland 3-1 last night. Rooney put United 1-0 after an uninspiring, almost boring first half. Ruud put United 2 goals up during the second half with a predatory strike. Then, in the 81st min, Sunderland pulled one back. Game on. But Van Der Sar made a crucial save from a Sunderland free kick to maintain United's lead and Rossi then put United two goals clear with a left foot shot from outside the area. A goal on his debut. Bodes well for United. Anyway, better get back to re-mugging. See ya.

Came back from school early today. AGAIN. No CCA is da best! But I'm only gonna enjoy this freedom till end of CT. Anyway, I'm sitting here taking a break till 7pm. Listening to Superman by Five for Fighting. Just finished sending Maths PPT to grp members and completed my Oral Comm speech. I'm probably one of the best ones in terms of speaking ability in my class but I chose the crappiest topic and my first presentation only lasted 1 min+ cause I didn't have anything else to talk about. So I've been given a chance to present something else. At least now I've done 2 days of prep instead of 30mins. And I have visual aids!! Now listening to Superstition by Taufik. Gotta go and revise Deutsch. Full steam mugging ahead!

Eventful day

Hi. Came back early today cause I was the first one to take German oral exam. Quite ok actually. Here's the weird part though. Brent, my partner, and I were given a passage each. We both had to prepare with these passages before the teacher actually tested us. Then, when we went to the teacher, both of us together, we took our seats. On each seat was a passage. Then both of us noticed the passages that were given were different from the passages we prepared with. Anyway, I thought it was just part of the testing. So, I read first. Then when Brent read, I realised that that was the passage I prepared with. Then I realised that both of us had actually switched passages without knowing it. Anyway, I thought "forget it, just get the oral over with". Then, Brent and I had a structured conversation as part of the test. He was a bit shaky but nevermind. After the test, we discussed and he told me that the passage I read was his. We both made a huge mistake. Our fault that we didn't change the passages. Funny sia. Too bad.

Well, now that I'm at home, I've finished editing the history PPT and sent the maths PPT to Zaki for printing. Gotta do that stupid lit essay on Animal Farm. Hehe, at least there's no more CCA till end of CT. How fantastic is that!? Get to come home early...

Today's Prometheum Ceremony was really well organised and meaningful. Yi Quan was parade commander, probably for the last time. Anyway, then each CCAL of 2005 handed over the reigns to the CCAL of 2006. WO TYQ handed over to Geoff, putting the red sash around him. For MCC, Nazirul handed over to Shafiq. Quite nice to see them all handing over power. Two of the new CCALs didn't come so 2 of the old CCALs just had to stand there while the others handed over power. Awkward. Anyway, the new DHB is Bing Wen, who is also the new CCAL of NPCC. The new HB is one of the prefects who interviewed me during the RIPB interview. Can't remember his name though. Looks like a good choice. Tim Chow and Kaiyang have done a fantastic job and I think it'll be hard for the 2 new boys to live up to what their predecessors have acheived. Anyway, all that for another day. Auspicium Melioris Aevi.

Hi. I haven't blogged here in such a long time. As usual, I've been busy with school work. I dunno how others find the time to blog. I can't find the time to even mug. Anyway, there have been so many things to blog about, but now I've forgotten about all of them. Anyway, I didn't make it through the interview stage of the RIPB elections. Oh well. Last night, United lost to Blackburn @ OT 2-1. Unbelievable. They might as well get relegated this season. It's been so frustrating to watch them. It seems like as if they want to get the ball to the 6-yard box before they try to score. Just wish they would wake up. The fruitless attacks...

Hi. Kinda busy this hols. Well, Saturday to Wednesday I'm free. But there's a tonne of work. Then Thursday, there's sec 1 BB batch outing. Going LANning. Yeah! Then on Friday, gonna help out @ Singapore Open. Cool man. Just that gotta be there before 7am and will end after 7pm. On Sat, I'll be going for the SINDA Prize Presentation Ceremony cause I 'did well' in PSLE. Madness sia! Gotta be there at 10.30 am just for a ceremony which starts at 3pm! Why? REHEARSAL! So long!? The Many-Issue Post

Hi all. Many things have happened in the past week or so, so I'm going to share it all (if I can remember all of it).

Firstly, I will remain as Treasurer. Yipee! Woohoo! I thank Mr Lim & Mr Jee for having faith in me and I shall not betray the trust of my 2 FTs again. So, the punishment of course. We hafta clean the classroom, arrange the tables, clean the whiteboard, etc etc. It isn't to heavy right? So I would really like to thank Mr Lim & Mr Jee for forgiving us. They're truly the best FTs man!!!!!

Ok, what else do I have? Erm...erm...oh yeah. Running to be a Prefect. I seriously wanna be a Prefect. I mean, to serve the school; what an honour. Who knows? I may become the Head Boy one day...erm, mebbe not. Well, should just try to behave more maturely from now on.

Ok, then there came the Company Parade! I started to rain and we brought all the chairs to the porch but brought it back immediately after cause the rain had subsided. But the rain got heavier, so we just waited. Then, it finally stopped. It was our time. We marched out in tune with the band. We were pretty good in my opinion. Everyone was motivated and did their best. The Founder's Men receiving their awards, the Primers being acknowledged, the handing over of power. I also received my Best Recruit award, which made me really proud. So that was that and the March Past was really great.

Just had BQ Afterglow today. Reflected on what happened and what we all learnt. I was quite touching to hear what all the others had to say. Anyway, fear not 60th. The trophy will be ours again! Actually, I think that BB is the most closely knit UG in school. I mean all the others don't really have as many different activities as we do and we all seem to know each other and so it is more of a big group of friends than a UG, if you know what I mean. But I'm not dissing the other UGs here. It's just that I feel BB is unique in this way.

Eating in class

Whoa, got into big trouble today for eating in class. Mrs Lim caught Amith eating and all was revealed. All who were eating, 1 demerit point each. Then we kena big scolding from Mr Lim. Vince and I could be sacked from CEC. Gotta write letter to explain why we shouldn't be sacked and what punishment should be meted out. Hope my letter is convincing enough. But seriously, now I truly regret eating in class. The canteen wasn't that far away, as Mr Lim said. Could have peed in my pants while he was scolding us. But we deserve it. In a way, I thought we could get away with it. But luck wasn't on our side unfortunately. Now we have to pay dearly. But thankfully we got caught, in a way. If not, would we do it again? Well, I'm really hoping for the best. I wanna serve 1Q. It's been fun. Now sitting here with butterflies in my stomach...

Busy Weekend

Hi all. I haven't blogged here in a while, but forgive me. I've been really busy preparing for BQ...
Which brings me to the fact that BQ is over. I just broke down when it was announced that 2nd coy had clinched Overall Champions. It was probably the most disappointing moment of my life. After all the hard work 60th put in, we only got 3rd (congrats to 60B). However, losing teaches us more than what winning can ever teach us. I'm so determined to join BQ next year and work even harder. I will not stop till I hold that trophy aloft for 60th. Although, losing teaches us more than winning, winning is always what we wanna do. So, I just hope that 60th feels the same way I do about BQ. I know Maxi does. Derwin too. Let's all go for it next year guys! The Lord will bring us to the top. For 60th, for God.

Hi all. Recently, we haven't had much homework and that's really great. So, I've got time to blog! Ha, today Madrid, NY and Moscow were eliminated from the bid for the Olympic 2012 bid. So it was down to London and Paris. Everyone thought it would be Paris but in the end, London came out tops. The English were ecstatic while the French were in a complete state of disappointment. Well too bad, so sad. Now, I just wanna quote some phrases from someone anonymous...

New term

It's been so long since I've last been here. Almost 2 months. I'm not a prolific blogger so you know why. Anyway, I need to get something off my chest first. I know there are alot of you out there with heavier workloads and busier schedules and you might think I'm talking rubbish but it doesn't really matter to me. I've been so busy and haven't had alot of free time to myself. There, that felt better.

Anyway, it's the beginning of a new term now. New challenges and obstacles that I'll have to face. But lets hope I can take it all into my stride and keep going. I really need to get back to my footballing peak after a one month lay-off. I need to help out my fellas from BB beat the rest of the UGs. But it's not a one-man-show. I'm certainly not boasting. My teammates will al also have to be at their best to beat the other UGs.

Speaking of football, I can't wait for the Premiership to start. The Glazers have bought United and it's sad but they are slowly trying to convince us that they'll keep the club going like it always has. Let's hope so. Anyway, the Van Der Sar and Park signings were really great for the club so let's hope it'll be a successful season for United.

Whoa! I'm back home by 4pm on a Monday! Fantastic! However, I've got a sore throat and blocked/runny nose, so I couldn't go for golf. But woohoo! Back home early! Oh boy, but I dunno how I'm gonna cope with the projects. Gotta hand in Malay project and most probably Science assignment by this week. Oh boy, I really need help, big-time.

New Pope, United and Learning Journey

At last, we have a new Pope in Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger now aka Pope Benedict XVI. What a moment when the white smoke was emitted, the bells rang and he was presented to the world. (20-4-2005)

Hahahahaha! United thrashed Newcastle 4-1 in the FA Cup semi-final with goals from Ruud (2), Ronaldo and Scholes. Now, it's Arsenal in the final. Get in! Let's hope Ruud carries the scoring form to the Premiership to help United attain automatic Champions League qualification. (17-4-2005)

Today was the Learning Journey to Asian Civilisation Museum. 8am-12pm. Fantastic 4 hour day! Anyway, it was quite interesting, although we had a tour guide with a funny accent. Well, I don't really care. The exhibits were intruiging. (20-4-2005)

Whoopee! Whoopee! Whoopee! I'm going to Japan in June! Finally, I'm going to Japan, after the disappointment of missing Fukouka. But anyway, those who were supposed to go still haven't gone! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Anyway, I'm all set. Can't wait for it.

Just received some results today.
48/55 for German - 2nd highest, good but could have done better
64% for CA1 Malay - ok lah, so-so, somewhere in the middle

It feels so good to be back by 5pm after 3rd Lang on Tuesday. No Tarian, more time to do work and relax. Superb! Ahh...

Whoa! Gotta go and bathe in 5, no wait, 4 minutes time! Argh! Anyway, at least I'm back home early. I'm now checking out the new PSP on the internet. It's da bomb man! Well, it's cool but looking at some of the games there, the games sound quite crappy. Lame names to them. But the PSP seriously looks super cool. Ahh...

That's all I have to say for now. Oops gotta bathe in 1 minute. Have to maximise this minute. But wait! This minute has elapsed and I have to bathe now, but, argh, I'll wait a while more. Bye!

Ah, finally, I'm here once again. School has been making me VERY busy. Tarian has just ended and we only managed to clinch a bronze. The judges must have preferred traditional dance to contemporary. Anyway, that's that. Now that there's no more tarian training, I won't be coming back as late and I'll have more time for my work. Phew! Anyway, I probably won't be back here for quite a while until all my situation with my work and assignments has settled down. Whatever. Also:

Today is my birthday! Yeah! But i-Learning has totally ruined it and made it miserable. i-Learning is seriously the worse idea there ever was. More work is given, you have to complete assignments for quite a few subjects and you have to go back to school. Everyone dislikes it, especially me. They should do something about it. IMMEDIATELY!

Today was a busy day. First, fun round of golf at Transview from 9am-12.15pm. Then, when I came back, I had to attend to my stupid experiment, and then did i-Learning (which I HATE). Had lunch and dinner in between and worked till about 11pm. Busy man. Plus, I think I have a cold. Well, till next time.

i-Learning is a great idea but it was so poorly executed. Firstly, all the titles were so confusing and I wasn't sure which ones to do exactly. Some of the titles had the phrase "Sec 1" in them but they were done by some Admin thingy. The idea is very creative and practical but it was so poorly executed. Most of my friends don't like it. The way it is carried out has got to change. Frankly, I'd rather not have i-Learning because i-Learning is so disrupted. You are doing i-Learning for a few hours then you have to go back to school for some activity. Then when you return, you continue with i-Learning. Half the day is gone already. If it were a normal school day, lessons will go on without disruption. I thought i-Learning would be quite fun, but it is quite the contrary.

The Ultimate Footie BlogNOOOOOOOOOO! United lost to AC Milan 1-0! I'm distraught and fear for United. But, today, I watched the game on tape and United played REALLY well and their play was superb. If they play like that against any other Premiership club, United would absolutely thump them. But, unfortunately, United lost because of 2 errors.

One, from Roy Carroll. That GUNDU dropped Seedorf's shot and Crespo pounced on the rebound. That fateful mistake could cost United a place in the quarter-finals. I can't bear to think of it. What a blunder...

The other one, a tactical mistake by Fergie himself. He put Rooney, up front, on his own, to face two of the world's best and most experienced defenders in the form of Nesta and Maldini. Joke man! He had to hopelessly chase all balls knocked down the field to him. Then, after one whole hour, they brought on 'Ruud, Ruud, Ruud...', 'van the Man' > aka Ruud van Nistelrooy. By then, it was too late.

Now, the only way United can get back in this is if they play smart like AC Milan: pacy counter-attacks with 2/3 touch moves and swift passing play, wearing the opponents out. And Ruud had better regain his match fitness I tell ya.

Anyway, all credit to Milan. With that, I sit in hope of a bright light at the end of the Round of 16 tunnel. Glory, Glory Man United.

The Ultimate Footie Blog School is kinda stressful now. I have to stay up until at least 10pm, which is a big jump. The other day I slept at 1am because of homework and I've never stayed up that late just do do homework before. So now, I won't have as much free time. I now ask everyone to give me their homework-completing powers as I plough through the dreaded piles. Anyway, that's all for now. Oh wait, I forgot. I got my own handphone on Sunday, 13th February. It has a flip-open keypad just like a computer. I love it man! Oh yeah, one more thing: Steadfast et Versatiles, Hullett all the way!

The Ultimate Footie Blog Had an okay day in school today. Two people bug me the most. One is sometimes funny, but mostly irritating. You can't get anything across to him when arguing. It was the same thing today. He thought Ganges was pronounced gan-ges but it should be pronounced gan-gees. But he said if it was correct than wouldn't you pronounce Indus as in-dUz? I was fuming so badly, but I kinda knew I was right. Anyway, seems to be a little unfriendly towards me. He always says 'what's your problem' and he isn't as friendly with me, I don't know why. Anyway, that's all for now.
